Premium Spanish meat supplier, Càrniques Celrà S.L. is part of the strong meat industry in the Girona region. The company specialises in pork products and processes up to 5,000 animals per day.
In addition, the production plant covers 13,217 square meters in the local industrial area. This area will double within the next year when the planned expansion becomes fully operational.
Facility Expansion
This new warehouse project represents an investment of 18 million Euros. At present, more than 60% of the construction work has been completed.
Inside the facility, four large cold storage warehouses will be built. As a result, the company will be able to store up to 18,000 tons of frozen products.
Furthermore, a new -40°C freezing tunnel will also be installed. This system will be used for boxed pork and will refrigerate up to 60 tons of product per day.
The project will also include a new packaging room. Therefore, 50 new employees will join operations.

Controlled Production Process
As a professional premium Spanish meat supplier, we follow a clear process.
First, we purchase live animals from approved farms. Then, we inspect their quality.
After that, we organise transport logistics. Next, we manage the slaughter service through our own and external facilities.
In addition, we inspect carcass quality and manage cutting in our cutting rooms.

PRODUCTION CAPACITY H2 – Production Capacity As an established premium Spanish meat supplier, we employ more than 1,400 workers. Because of our production capacity, we process up to 14,000 pigs per day in one shift. In addition, we can reach 18,000 pigs per day in two shifts.
International Growth
As a growing premium Spanish meat supplier, Càrniques Celrà S.A. will start exporting to China.
In addition, four new warehouses will be built with the capacity to store up to 18,000 tons of frozen pork.
Future Development

As a result, 50 new jobs will be created.
In addition, exports to Mexico and China will support growth in Asian markets. At present, the company ships up to fifteen sea containers per day.
